A brand new Pava Pro A5 from our friends just down the road at the Ellis/Pava workshop. This is the top of the line mandolin from Pava, fully adorned and this one also features a torrified Adirondack spruce top. This mandolin is confidently among the finest instruments being built today. It has a beautiful rich, lush tone while still maintaining crisp clarity and excellent note separation. Perfectly balanced across the strings as well as up and down the entire fretboard. This is a powerful and loud instrument but it also responds equally well to a light touch, offering a wide array of dynamics to any style of playing. An absolutely beautiful, professional level mandolin from one of today's greatest makers.
"Torrified" Adirondack Spruce top, Red Maple back/sides/neck, radiused ebony fretboard with pearl position markers, bound ebony pickguard, Ellis made full contact ebony bridge, ebony endpin with pearl eye, Gotoh tuners w/pearl buttons, Pava "Iris" pearl headstock inlay, engraved James tailpiece, fully bound with triple bound top and back, 1-1/8" bone nut, adjustable truss rod, varnish finish. Comes with a Superior brand fiberglass case.
