Pava A5 Satin - Wide Nut w/upgrades

Brand new Pava A5 from our good friends just down the road at the Pava/Ellis workshop. This one was special ordered with some impressive upgrades including a wide nut (1-3/16"), a factory installed K&K internal pickup, and Waverly tuning machines!

This is an absolutely beautiful sounding mandolin with a big, powerful voice. A wonderful balance of complexity and a strong woody character that rings out in every position. Very responsive to a light touch and holds up to vigorous picking, this is an instrument that begs to be played with dynamics. Perfect balance across the strings as well as up and down the fretboard. The Pava/Ellis shop set up is spectacular and the mandolin plays easily in every position. An incredible instrument outfitted for professional use in studio or on stage.

Adirondack spruce top, Red maple back/sides/neck, satin lacquer sunburst finish, grained ivoroid top binding, radiused ebony fretboard w/pearl dot position markers, adjustable ebony "full contact" bridge, Bill James tailpiece, Waverly tuners w/ebony buttons, K&K internal pickup, 1-3/16" bone nut. Comes with a Superior brand fiberglass case.
