Pava A5 Satin - Natural

Just in from our good friends down the road at the Ellis/Pava workshop comes a wonderful A5 mandolin with a beautiful, unique look to go along with its incredible sound! Its rare to see finished mandolins in their natural wood color, particularly from top tier builders. We feel like this combination of natural wood along with the tortoise binding and trim really accentuate the masterfully executed symmetry and materials of the instrument. 

This is a powerful mandolin with the volume to stand out in any ensemble of instruments without having to play hard. Even with its power, it retains a very sweet and beautiful tonal character. A wonderful blend of fundamental "woodiness" and rich complexity. Crisp and clear note separation supported by a nice warm depth with incredible sustain. Perfect balance across the strings as well as up and down the fretboard. The shop set up is buttery smooth and the mandolin plays easily in all positions. This one is going to make someone very happy!
