A brand new Model M just in from Northfield. This mandolin easily holds its own with instruments costing much more. The tone has a beautiful depth and complexity while still retaining amazing clarity and note separation, a quality found in only the finest mandolins. While somewhat simply appointed, this instrument is absolutely gorgeous and we doubt that the pictures do it justice. The highly flamed dark back and sides just pop. The setup is perfect and exemplifies Northfield's reputation for buttery playability. Special Engelmann spruce top, highly flamed maple back/sides/neck, varnish finish, Nugget tailpiece, ebony adjustable bridge, ebony fretboard, Gotoh nickel tuners with black buttons, 1-1/8" bone nut, radiused fretboard. Comes with a Northfield Airloom Recurve case.
