This one features an Engelmann spruce top vs the standard for this model, which is Adirondack. The Engelmann imparts a bit more depth and warmth to the tone, while still producing great clarity and cutting power.

Beautiful, rich tone with incredible responsiveness and volume to even just the lightest of touch. Perfectly balanced across the tonal spectrum and up and down the fretboard. The set up is wonderful and the mandolin plays almost effortlessly in all positions.
