Northfield AT1 Archtop Octave Mandolin

Just in from our friends at the Northfield workshop, a truly magnificent instrument in every way! Absolutely beautiful materials and craftsmanship perfectly tuned to provide an experience that is nothing short of inspirational. This one is very hard to put down! Wonderful, deep, rich, and complex tone while still maintaining brilliant crisp cutting power and note separation. We are also equally impressed of the balance both across the strings as well as up and down the fretboard. The set up is fantastic and it plays easily in all positions. It is hard to imagine an octave mandolin getting any better than this!

Italian spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck, multi-ply tortoise binding, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, radiused ebony fretboard with descending pearl position markers, ebony adjustable bridge, Gotoh tuners, Nugget tailpiece, Black Phenolic pick guard, 22" scale length, 1-13/32" nut width. Comes with a very nigh fiberglass hardshell case.
