2018 Heiden A5 Artist Model

2018 Heiden A5 Artist Model (completed early 2019 according to Heiden) in excellent condition. There are some small marks of play wear here and there on the top but nothing that takes away from the incredible beauty of this instrument. We have been very fortunate to have several of Michael Heiden's mandolins come through our shop over the years and this mandolin seems to represent everything great about each example that we have had. His signature tone and volume are on full display here and the workmanship is nothing short of a master luthier in their absolute prime. The Artist Model is his fully adorned model and this combination of aesthetic beauty and sound make for one of the finest instruments available anywhere.

We just received the mandolin from Michael Heiden's workshop where he performed a full EVO re-fret and complete set up. It plays wonderfully in all positions with no issues whatsoever. A K&K internal pickup has been professionally installed and the amplified sound is natural and true to the amazing acoustic properties of the instrument. An ebony strap button has been added at the neck heel.

Engelmann spruce top, Red maple back (one piece) /sides/neck, varnish finish, hand-rubbed stain, Heiden "Torch" abalone headstock inlay, Gaboon ebony fretboard, bridge, pick guard, and headstock, EVO frets, James engraved tailpiece, Waverly tuners w/pearl knobs, adjustable truss rod, triple bound in grained ivoroid binding, speed neck, bone nut. Radiused fretboard, 1-1/8" nut width. Comes with its original MainStage (Canadian Calton) case.
