Just in from our good friends down the road at the Ellis workshop, a spectacular mandolin that is a feast for both the eyes and ears! This is an instrument that truly  represents a veteran master luthier at the very top of his game. Impeccable attention to style and detail, the very best materials, silky smooth playability, and of course, an incredible sound. This is a powerful mandolin with an open and resonant voice that produces a perfectly balanced tone that is simultaneously rich and warm, as well as crystal clear and bright. This is a very inspiring instrument to hold and play, and is hard to put down!

Adirondack spruce top, Sugar maple back/sides/neck (one piece back), varnish finish, tortoise bound in full triple binding, highly figured "vine" headstock inlay, pearl block fretboard position markers, radiused ebony fretboard, radiused ebony full contact bridge w/gold wheels, gold Waverly tuners w/ebony buttons, gold engraved James tailpiece, gold EVO fret wire, tortoise bound ebony pickguard, ebony endpin with pearl eye, adjustable truss rod, 1-1/8" bone nut. Comes with a custom Calton case bearing the Ellis logo.
