Just in from our good friends down the road at the Ellis workshop, an absolute masterpiece from one of the greatest mandolin builders or our time. Ordered with every custom option available, this is a true heirloom quality instrument. The artistry on display here is second to none, and of course so is the Ellis signature sound. This is a powerful mandolin with a perfect balance of rich complexity and crisp, articulate note separation. Unsurpassed balance across the strings as well as up and down the fretboard. The Ellis shop setup is perfect and the mandolin plays easily in all positions. This is the total package F5 from a master builder.

Ellis private stock woods - Adirondack spruce top, Sugar maple back/sides/neck, varnish finish, full "torch and wire" headstock inlay, fully bound in tortoise triple binding, triple bound ebony pick guard, ebony radiused fretboard with EVO frets, ebony adjustable full contact bridge, Weldon Lister engraved James tailpiece, Waverly tuners, ebony endpin with pearl eye, 1-1/8" bone nut. Comes with a custom Calton case made specifically for Ellis and bearing his logo.
