Ellis A5 Tradition
Ellis A5 Tradition
Just in from our good friends down the road at the Ellis workshop, the LAST Ellis A5 Tradition that will ever be made (a total of 6). The Tradition series was a limited run with a vintage style voicing modeled after David Grisman's Loar, hot hide glue construction, and other custom vintage touches. This is an absolutely incredible mandolin with a wide open voice, beautiful depth, crisp clarity, and unsurpassed balance in every register. The aesthetic and artistry on display in this instrument is exemplary of this modern master of mandolin construction and his decades in pursuit of perfection.
