Eastman MD505 CC/TV (New/Blemished)

Brand new Eastman MD505 CC/TV. The thin finish (Eastman's Vintage Gloss) has some splotchy spots and imprints from the case, likely due to being handled/shipped before it was fully hardened.

This is a wonderful sounding mandolin with a WIDE OPEN voice. Notably more resonant compared to the Eastman models we have now in the standard finish. Great balance across the string courses as well as up and down the neck. This model was made with rounded off edges (CC=Contoured Comfort) and the right arm feel is very nice while playing. Even with the finish blemishes, this is a very beautiful instrument in a lovely red wine color and a beautiful set of maple on the back and sides. This is a great deal for someone who doesn't mind some aesthetic imperfections at more than 25% off!
