2023 Northfield Big Mon - Amber

2023 Northfield Big Mon in "like new" condition. We sold this mandolin brand new just a couple of months ago (dated 7/6/23) to a long time shop friend and just got it back in favor of an Ellis mandolin. We can find no sign of use at all and the instrument could easily pass as brand new.

This one has the famous Big Mon tone in spades! Deep, rich and powerful while still maintaining beautiful crisp clarity and note separation. This is an incredibly powerful and responsive mandolin that gives up a lot of volume with just the lightest of touch. Most instruments with this much power trade richness for the volume, but this is certainly not the case with this mandolin! The set up is perfect and it plays beautifully in all positions.

Special Engelmann spruce top, flamed maple back/sides/neck, varnish finish, tortoise binding, bound tortoise pick guard, ebony fretboard with descending pearl position markers, ebony adjustable bridge, Gotoh tuners w/ebony buttons, Gilchrist designed tailpiece, radiused fretboard, 1-1/8" bone nut. Comes with its original Northfield "Airloom" case, also in like new condition.
