2021 Pava A5 Satin - Torrified

2021 Pava A5 Satin in very good condition, showing some wear in the form of some light surface scratches and small dings. These are purely aesthetic and take up close examination to notice.

A beautiful sounding mandolin with a lovely mix of woody/fundamental tone with a rich and nuanced depth. Incredibly balanced from low to high and across the strings, this mandolin loses none of its voice up or down the neck. Plenty of cutting power and volume to be heard over any ensemble of instruments, but sweet enough to excel in a solo mandolin performance. We just fine tuned the set up and the mandolin plays wonderfully in all positions with no issues whatsoever. At a thousand dollars less than the new price for this mandolin, this represents a great bargain for those not deterred by some minor wear.

Torrified Adirondack spruce top, Red maple back/sides/neck, one piece back, radiused ebony fretboard with pearl position markers, ebony "full contact" adjustable bridge, grained ivoroid top binding, Gotoh tuners with pearl buttons, Bill James tailpiece, adjustable truss rod with ebony cover plate, ebony endpin with pearl eye, 1-1/8" bone nut. Comes with its original Superior fiberglass case that shows scratches but functions perfectly.
