This is an absolutely beautiful sounding mandolin with a loud, powerful voice. Volume and cutting power that can be heard over any ensemble of instruments while still exhibiting a nice rich depth to the tone. Perfect balance from bass to treble as well as up and down the fretboard. We believe this mandolin was purchased and rarely, if ever played. It is in immaculate condition and still retains the exact Collings factory set up numbers in terms of action and neck relief. Engelmann spruce top, Red maple back/sides/neck, ebony fretboard with descending pearl position markers, ebony "full contact" adjustable bridge, one piece cast tailpiece, grained ivoroid top binding, Gotoh tuners with grained ivoroid buttons, adjustable truss rod, radiused fretboard, 1-3/16" bone nut. Comes with its original hardshell case from Collings, also in virtually new condition.
