2021 Collings D1

2021 Collings D1 in excellent condition. Very few signs of prior ownership, just a couple of tiny dings, that require up-close scrutiny to notice. 

Absolutely beautiful sounding guitar with a wide open, powerful voice. Collings signature tone is on full display in this instrument with a wonderful woody depth and amazing shimmering trebles. The single notes cut like a laser and will stand out in any ensemble of instruments, while chord tones are balanced with crisp definition and richness. While certainly a bluegrass player's dream, this is a very balanced dreadnought that would also excel in finger style playing or really any style one wishes. The set up is to Collings factory specification and it plays beautifully in all positions with no issues whatsoever. A K&K internal pickup has been professionally installed and the guitar sounds natural and balanced when amplified.

Sitka spruce top, Honduran mahogany back/sides/neck, Adirondack pre-war style scalloped X bracing, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, ebony fretboard with pearl dot position markers, ebony bridge, tortoise binding w/triple top purfling, ebony headstock with pearl logo, Waverly tuners, tortoise pick guard, adjustable truss rod, strap button at neck heel, 25-1/2" scale length, 1-3/4" bone nut. Comes with its original hardshell case from Collings.
