2019 Sorensen Sprite 2X

2019 Sorensen Sprite 2X in good condition. Showing substantial play wear in the form of many dings, scratches, and finish abrasions, but structurally excellent with no prior repairs and none needed. 

This is a powerful instrument with a loud, wide-open voice. Incredibly responsive to a light touch but also holds up very well to more vigorous picking styles. Very rewarding for the player that uses a variety of dynamics. Crisp, clean note separation with a beautiful nuance to the tone. This mandolin would be just as at home playing classical pieces as it would in a parking lot bluegrass jam. Set-up with a low action and a very comfortable neck for easy playability in all positions.

This mandolin is labeled "Sprite 3D Prototype". We have included in the photos the description of that distinction from the builder by way of the original owner of the mandolin. Even with all of the play wear, this is an exceptionally beautiful instrument with wonderful features, materials, craftsmanship, and sound!

Salvaged Alaskan Sitka spruce top, parallel bracing, one-piece highly figured maple back, maple sides and neck, varnish finish, Rocklite composite radiused fretboard, Rubner tuners, Cumberland Acoustics ebony adjustable bridge, stainless steel frets, custom James tailpiece, adjustable truss rod, 1-1/8" bone nut. A brand new fiberglass Crossrock case is included.
