2018 Passernig A5

Those familiar with Stefan Passernig mandolins know that they very rarely come up for sale, and this mandolin is a wonderful example of just why that is. The tone is wide open and ultra responsive, offering up a ton of power with just the lightest of touch without being the least bit harsh. Beautiful woody depth in every note. The tone and volume are balanced across the strings as well as up and down the fretboard. This a mandolin that loses absolutely nothing when played in the upper positions. The set up is low and comfortable and plays wonderfully in all positions with no issues whatsoever. This is an incredible instrument that is going to make someone's "forever mandolin".

European spruce top, Sugar maple back/sides/neck, oil varnish finish with French polish (beautiful violin style patina), ebony fretboard with pearl position markers, ebony adjustable bridge, ebony pick guard, Golden Age relic tuners, adjustable truss rod, engraved tailpiece, 1-1/8" bone nut. Comes with a tweed hardshell case.
