2017 Santa Cruz Vintage Artist in excellent condition. Very minor signs of prior ownership that require close scrutiny to notice.

The Vintage Artist model is Santa Cruz's take on what makes a pre-war D-18 great while still utilizing the finest modern developments in guitar construction. Through a collaboration with Richard Hoover, vintage guitar experts, and guitar legend Doc Watson, this model came to life and became an instant classic.

This is an absolute cannon of a guitar with power to spare, but even with all of its volume and power, the tone remains incredibly focused and balanced. Crisp, seasoned clarity reminiscent of the great vintage mahogany dreadnought guitars with a beautiful organic warmth under each note. There is no doubt that this guitar would be a bluegrass musicians dream, but with the enhanced focus and balance it could be just as equally at home played fingerstyle. A truly magnificent instrument in every way.

Sitka spruce top with scalloped/advanced bracing, Mahogany back/sides/neck, ebony fretboard with triple binding, ebony bridge w/bone compensated saddle, modified V shape neck w/volute, Brazilliam rosewood headstock w/pearl logo, tortoise pick guard, ivoroid-herringbone binding, zipper back stripe, Waverly tuners, 1-11/16" bone nut, 25.375" scale length. Comes with a very nice Ameritage hardshell case made custom for Santa Cruz.
