2017 June A5 (#74) in excellent condition. There are a few small dings and scratches here and there but nothing that does not take up-close scrutiny to notice.

A fantastic, high quality, professional grade A5 mandolin by South Carolina luthier Walter Johnson. We acquired this mandolin from the original owner, who worked directly with Mr. Johnson on the specs. Beautiful materials, craftsmanship, and details throughout. Great tone with a lovely clear, balanced voice and enough power to stand out in an ensemble of instruments. The mandolin has been professionally set up and plays easily in all positions. This instrument originally came with a pickguard and there are two small, discreet mounting holes under the fretboard extension. This is only viewable if you turn the mandolin upside down and look under the board. 

X-braced old growth (1905) red spruce top, one piece flamed sugar maple back, sugar maple neck with walnut center strip, dovetail neck joint, adjustable truss rod, EVO frets, ebony adjustable bridge, Rubner tuners, engraved Bill James tailpiece, varnish finish, fully bound in triple binding, custom inlay, radiused ebony fretboard, 1-1/8" bone nut. Hiscox hardshell case included.
