2017 Collings MF - Wide Nut

2017 Collings MF in very good condition. There are some signs of use in the form of small dings, scratches, and finish abrasions here and there, but nothing that takes away from the overall beauty of the instrument. These things are purely cosmetic and within the norm for any six year old instrument that has been in constant service.

This is an absolutely wonderful F5 mandolin with the beautiful signature Collings tone on full display. The tone is wide open, no doubt from a bit of aging and a serious amount of play time. A very powerful and loud mandolin than also has a sweet and delicate tonal character that would be well suited for any style of playing. Crisp and articulate while simultaneously rich and full bodied. Very inspiring sound that just makes you want to play more! We just performed a full set up to return the mandolin to Collings' shop specifications and it plays perfectly in every position with no issues whatsoever. 

Adirondack spruce top, curly maple back/sides/neck, tortoise binding, radiused ebony fretboard with descending pearl dot positions markers, ebony "full contact" adjustable bridge, cast tailpiece, Gotoh tuners with black buttons, adjustable truss rod with ebony cover plate, ebony endpin with pearl eye, 1-3/16” bone nut.
