2001 Gibson SJ-200 in very good condition. 1 repaired 3" top crack (repaired with hide glue) and the various dings and scratches associated with any 25 year old instrument that has been in service. The pickguard has been replaced with a very high quality replica. The original is faded, but is whole and included with the guitar.
This is a wonderful sounding guitar that does exactly what you want a great Gibson jumbo to do. Beautiful, rich depth complimented by a crisp and snappy attack with balance across the strings and up and down the neck. This example is a bit warmer sounding than most of the maple jumbos we have encountered over the years while still retaining that great maple "out front" responsiveness. These guitars are sometimes pigeon-holed as "chord strummers", and while it certainly plays that role very well, this guitar also sounds fantastic playing single note lead lines. To top it off, the instrument is drop-dead gorgeous! If you have been searching for a beautiful Gibson jumbo that also sounds great, stop by and give this one a try!
Made in Bozeman, MT. Spruce top, maple back/sides/neck, rosewood fretboard and bridge, 25-1/2" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width. Comes with its original hardshell case from Gibson.
