1993 Martin J-40

1993 Martin J-40 in good condition. Considerable play wear in the form of dings, scratches, and buckle rash but it is crack free and structurally excellent.

A great sounding guitar! The tone is refined and balanced across the strings and up and down the neck, which is quite remarkable for such a large body/jumbo style guitar. Chord tones ring out crystal clear with a beautiful and lush depth, while playing single lead tones punch through with power in every register. This is an instrument that could certainly be a "desert island guitar" for someone who enjoys playing multiple styles and genres. Set up with a nice low action and plays great in all positions. An under saddle pickup is in place and sounds great amplified.

Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, X-bracing, bound ebony fretboard with abalone hexagon position markers, abalone rosette, ebony bridge, adjustable truss rod, 1-11/16" bone nut, 25.4" scale length. Strap button added at neck heel. Comes with its original hardshell case from Martin.
