1987 Martin Shenandoah in good condition for an instrument approaching 40 years of constant service. There is a repaired center seam crack (cleated/glued) and lots of play wear/finish checking but in excellent structural condition. Fresh neck re-set, full re-fret, and set up.
We have had many Martin Shenandoah guitars come through the shop over the years and this is without a doubt the best sounding example that we have encountered, likely due to just how much this guitar has been played over the years. Beautiful rich depth while still exhibiting plenty of clarity and cutting power. Great balance across the strings as well as up and down the fretboard. It just received a professional neck reset, full re-fret, and set up and plays wonderfully in all positions with no issues whatsoever. An aftermarket pickup is in place and sounds great amplified. This very well could represent the best value in a Martin dreadnought available for those unbothered by play wear.
Spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, rosewood bridge, adjustable truss rod, 25-1/2" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width. Hardshell case included.
