1970's Iida resonator banjo in excellent vintage condition. It shows various minor finish abrasions here and there but in exceptional condition for its age.
Iida banjos were manufactured in Japan during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They made everything from simple entry level instruments to some pretty extravagant professional grade banjos. This example leans heavily into the latter with beautiful materials, details, and craftsmanship throughout. On top of its stunning aesthetics, it also sounds great! Bright, punchy, and loud with a nice amount of depth. The banjo is set-up and plays great in all positions with no issues. Spikes installed at frets 7,8,9. A nice Superior brand hardshell case is included.
