1965 Gibson RB-250

1965 Gibson "Bowtie" RB-250 in very good vintage condition. There are the dings and finish checking associated any instrument in service for this long, some light pitting of the fretboard (does not effect playing), and two small holes in the side of the neck where a sliding 5th string capo once was installed.

We believe everything on the banjo to be original except for the 5th string tuner (original is in the case), bridge, and a replacement Presto tailpiece. The banjo just received a complete re-fret and set up and it plays wonderfully in all positions with no issues whatsoever. This is a powerful, loud banjo with a beautiful crisp tonality that loses absolutely nothing when playing in the upper positions. Heavy Mastertone tone ring. Comes with its original Gibson hardshell case that shows its age a bit but is still 100% functional.
