1974 Gibson RB-250

1974 Gibson RB-250 in fair condition. This one certainly has a lot of battle scars in the form of various scratches, dings, metal tarnish, and cracked binding BUT the banjo is structurally sound and sounds and plays fantastic!

This one is set up with a fiberskyn head which undoubtedly adds depth and warmth, but even with this head the banjo is extremely powerful and loud. This set up is great for someone who wishes to switch back and forth between clawhammer and three finger style (the previous owner is a big John Hartford fan).

While definitely not a collector grade instrument, this a good deal on a player grade Gibson Mastertone banjo that will make someone a great bluegrass workhorse with the elusive, classic tone. Comes with its original hardshell case with missing handle.
