1962 Martin D-18

1962 Martin D-18 in good vintage condition. It shows a lot of play wear consistent with an instrument that has been in constant service for over 60 years, but no cracks or structural issues. The neck was reset along with a new bone nut and saddle by Austin ace repairman Dick Dubois in 2019.

This guitar is an absolute cannon! Powerful booming tone, with a mature sweetness to the sound that is only found in fine vintage guitars that have been well played for years. Crisp, articulate, and balanced. The guitar has been set up to handle heavy-handed bluegrass style picking and performs beautifully with a capo. All original with the exception of the nut, saddle, and frets. A strap button has been added to the neck heel. Very clean inside with no repairs to the bracing or bridge plate. This is a GREAT vintage D-18! 25-1/2" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width. Hardshell case included.
