Made in 1946 by Fort Worth, TX violin maker Joseph Stamps, this is a very unique and interesting instrument! It was originally custom made left handed, and the bracing and sound post are reversed, but it has been converted to right handed. Either in spite of this, or because of this, the violin has an absolutely beautiful tone. Wonderful warmth and depth with impressive articulation and a powerful voice. The materials and craftsmanship on display are that of a top tier violin maker and just holding the instrument in your hands you can feel the quality. It is our understanding that Mr. Stamp's violins were in high demand and commanded a very high price for their time. The instrument was just professionally evaluated and set up and it plays beautifully with no issues whatsoever. Comes with a very old case.
