1926 Gibson A-JR

1926 Gibson A-Jr in very good vintage condition. There are the various blemishes and finish checking associated with virtually any instrument approaching 100 years old, but the mandolin is structurally sound with no cracks, sinking arches, or seam issues that are common on these vintage Gibsons. No sign of prior repairs and none needed. 

This is a great sounding vintage Gibson oval hole mandolin with a deep, rich tone and snappy trebles. Beautiful seasoned/aged tone that you just can't find in a modern instrument. The mandolin is setup with a low action and plays great in all positions. We believe that it is all original with the exception of recently replaced tuners. These tuners act in reverse but work extremely well. The originals are included in the sale but we are not sure of their functionality. Comes with a vintage budget case that we are not sure if it is original to the instrument. The original ebony nut show some chip-out but functions perfectly. 13-7/8" scale length, flat fretboard, 1-1/8" nut width.
