An absolutely beautiful and unique vintage banjo with a wonderful tone! This banjo started its life as a 1921 Vega Style L Mandolin Banjo. The small sized pot (10-3/8") gives it so much charm and a beautiful sound that is all its own. The reproduction neck was done by Bernie Lehmann and is based on the 1901 Whyte Laydie neck. The neck is gorgeous with crisp attention to all details and stunning birdseye maple. Set up for clawhammer style playing with room in the "sweet spot" so as not to rake your hand on the frets. The smaller sized pot certainly gives the banjo a brighter tone but it still has so much depth and character! Comes with a hardshell case that is a bit large for the banjo but perfect for traveling/shipping as extra material can be packed around the instrument for safety. 25" scale length, 22 frets, 28 brackets, 1-3/8" nut width.
