2009 Daley A5 Standard

2009 Daley A5 in good condition. There are various finish abrasions here and there, pick marks, and a small bit of finger rash on the top, but the instrument is 100% structurally sound with no prior repairs and none needed. Sim Daley's mandolins have often been described as a "Gibson on steroids". This makes some sense considering that Mr. Daley previously played a large role in mandolin production at Gibson and would know a thing or two about that blueprint. We agree that this mandolin has a very Gibson-esque tonal quality. Its a powerful, dry, and punchy mandolin that is balanced around a strong mid-range with precision focus. It certainly will have no problem cutting through in any ensemble of instruments. The set up is low and comfortable and plays easily in all positions with no issues. 1-1/16" nut width, flat fretboard. Comes with a shaped hardshell case.
